Part of the personal indebtedness comes from the lack of planning and budget control of Brazilian families and Financial Education is a fundamental element to improve the financial organization. The research analyzes perceptions acquired by adults during a Financial Education training for Federal Servants of a Higher Education Institution. The data collection took place for issues applied, weekly, through virtual platform, as well as individual monitoring. The results show that the majority of the participants structured and organized their financial control, in the end they outlined long-term financial planning. There were reports of difficulties to involve the family members before the training, however, in the course, they managed to convey to them the importance of financial planning with cost control, involving them. It is concluded that the action brought positive benefits, enabling the participants to incorporate guidelines and systematize their attitudes towards their financial expenses. Actions related to personal financial education, especially for adults, provide an opportunity for economic and financial management of Brazilian families.
