In 2022, the Ministry of Environment launched the National Climate Change Strategy, and the fifth objective addresses "promoting scientific research, technology transfer, knowledge management and awareness-raising to combat climate change." Research gaps were observed between what the strategy seeks and the results of scientific research, especially in the economic and social field of the agricultural sector. These gaps are considered an obstacle to the implementation of adaptation measures and their widespread dissemination. Therefore, the research aims to study the gaps between the economic and social sector and the rest of the sectors in the Agricultural Research Center. It was found that one of the most important reasons for the research gaps between researchers is the absence of economic and social participation in research and technical studies, which indicates the absence of research partnership between different sectors in studying and applying adaptation and simulation systems, and limiting it to estimating the financial return and the absence of estimating the economic and social returns on groups affected by climate change as well as those adopting adaptation systems. Therefore, the research recommends the establishment of a mechanism for coordination between research bodies to exchange experiences, research results and joint research programs, Strengthen cooperation between research bodies and encourage the formation of multidisciplinary research teams, Improve the environment that stimulates scientific research and breaks out of the cycle of stereotypes and repetition and search for new ways to link applied research to its economic and social return.
