Abstract: The Journal for School Development focuses on the topic of Lesson Studies, a method of school development that focuses on improving teaching. Lesson Studies are collaborative processes that aim to interrupt and sustainably change teaching routines by putting the learning of students at the center. In Austria, Lesson Studies are widely used in teacher training, while they are not yet established in German-speaking Switzerland. The method aims to view teaching from the perspective of learners and promote collegial collaboration.
