- Abstract
Today, it is necessary for a healthy career decision-making process that students can make their career planning without worry. Psychological resilience functions as an important variable for students to take part in a healthy career process. In this context, the study is conducted to measure to what extent the psychological resilience of vocational school students affects their career anxieties and whether both variables differ according to gender. The descriptive relational survey model is used in the research. Data are collected from 241 participants by questionnaire method and analyzed through SPSS program. According to the results of the analysis, it is determined that the students have moderate psychological resilience and career anxiety. In addition, it is observed that there is a statistically significant negative relationship between resilience and career anxiety, and that resilience has a negative effect on career anxiety. In other words, as the psychological resilience of the students increases, their career anxieties decrease. In terms of gender, it is determined that the psychological resilience of male students is higher than that of females, and there is no difference between genders in terms of career anxiety.
