- Abstract
Background: In Indonesia, stunting is still a problem that cannot be solved. Nutrition obtained from birth greatly affects its growth, including the risk of stunting. To maintain consistency, it is necessary to socialize nutrition and literacy education to the community for stunting prevention, with the concept of empowering cadres on how to feed infants and children (PMBA) in an effort to prevent stunting. Feeding infants and children must really be considered because it is important to build health in a country. Objective: The goal of this community service was to increase cadres' knowledge and competency in baby and child nutrition (IPM). Method: Starting with a problem analysis and planning stage, the activities are implemented in the form of health education using lecture and demonstration methods as well as video media that show the process of manufacturing infant and child meals. Results: After receiving education, participants' average scores climbed from 7.5 on the pretest to 8.85 on the posttest, showing that they knew more about stunting and PMBA. Conclusion: Infant and Child Feeding Training (PMBA) for cadres is very useful to implement in increasing stunting prevention efforts in children.
