In response to the issue of abnormal reaction parameters in the PRT-C/PRT-D semi-regenerative reforming unit of a certain refinery, a quantitative analysis is conducted on the elemental content and pore structure distribution of catalysts in each reactor. The analysis results show that the carbon mass content of the catalyst in the second reactor reaches 22.6%, and the pore volume distribution shifts towards larger pores, with some catalysts changing from gray to white. The deactivation of the catalyst is caused by water pollution in feedstock and deactivation during regeneration sintering. In addition, the hazards of catalyst deactivationby water and sintering are elaborated, and the key elements of the four steps of catalyst regeneration including sintering, chlorination renewal, reduction and sulfurization are pointed out.
