Abstract

This study aims to examine the end-of-unit evaluation questions of primary school 4th-grade textbooks according to MATH Taxonomy. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research models, was used in the study, and the descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the data. Within the scope of the study, the end-of-unit evaluation questions in the textbooks of two different publishers, which were taught by the Ministry of National Education in the 2023-2024 academic year, were examined. The questions were classified according to the groups and categories of the MATH Taxonomy. In addition, the questions were also evaluated on a unit basis according to the taxonomy. The data were coded by two different experts. Miles & Huberman (1994) reliability formula was used to ensure reliability and reliability was calculated as 92%. As a result of the study, it was determined that most of the end-ofunit evaluation questions were asked from group A. On a category basis, it was found that most questions were asked from the category A3-Routine Use of Procedures. When the distribution of groups and categories according to units was examined, it was concluded that the distribution differed according to the units.
