In this study, it was aimed to reveal the opinions of prospective primary school teachers about the adequacy of art education courses in the undergraduate program of primary school teaching in school practices. The research was designed according to the qualitative research model. Focus group interviews were conducted with the participants to obtain the study's data. The ages of the participants ranged between 21-24 years (mean age=22.35) and consisted of 18 women and 2 men. The content analysis method was used to analyze the data. Each research question was identified as a theme, and sub-themes and codes were created under the themes. In the study, it was concluded that especially because the visual arts education course is given in the eighth semester, the prospective primary school teachers had some problems regarding lesson plan preparation, classroom management, subject knowledge and artistic practices during the teaching practice process.
