This study aims to examine the research on online counseling in Türkiye. The study included 33 studies from Google Scholar and YÖK Thesis Center. The included studies were analyzed using the Research Classification Form created by the researchers. Document analysis technique was used in data analysis. As a result of the findings, more than half of the studies on online counseling are thesis studies. According to the study type, most studies were conducted using qualitative methods. The most studied topics in this field were perceptions of online counseling services provided and received. It was found that the general research results in the field focused on ethics, comparison of face-to-face counseling and online counseling, privacy and anxiety in the online counseling process, online counseling as a reflection of the COVID-19 pandemic in the field of mental health, and quasi-experimental studies on online counseling. The findings were discussed within the framework of literature. There is a series of suggestions, such as conducting mixed design studies in online counseling, examining the attitudes of psychological counselors on this subject, developing a measurement tool for online counseling competencies, and ethical supervision of online counseling services by higher institutions.
