Abstract

The authors offer information on impact of epigenetics and environment in hypertension. They mention that higher incidences cardiovascular disease (CVD) and hypertension in low-and middle-income countries (L MIC) are expected to be associated with ethnic characteristics and environmental influences. They state that urbanization and industrialization relates to several environmental risk factors include excessive alcohol consumption, the aging population, and social stress.
