Title: Potential pitfalls of Viekira Pak™ therapy in patients with HCV genotype 1b cirrhosis.

Abstract: The article presents a case study of a patient with acute liver failure during treatment with Ritonavir-boosted Paritaprevir, Ombitasvir and Dasabuvir drugs. It states that the patient has hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1b cirrhosis. The patient was discharged after two weeks on therapy with hepatoprotective and diuretics drugs, without clinical signs of encephalopathy and with remission of ascites.
