A Retrospective Study on Test-takers' Cognitive and Metacognitive Processes in Taking a Compound Dictation Test.

Abstract

The article presents information on a study which examines the cognitive and metacognitive methods used by Chinese speaking students in a compound dictation test of English language. It is reported that the study was based on semi-structured retrospective interviews and verbal protocols gathered after the test.
