The article discusses research on the reproductive biology and parasitology of Didelphis albiventris in an agroecosystem landscape at Exaltación de la Cruz in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The research observed 179 individuals from pouch young to age class VI which found that 13 percent of the opossum were suffering from Leptospira interrogans infection. It also discovered that four percent of the study population were infected with Salmonella enterica. On the other hand, no Trypanosoma cruzi or Trichinella spiralis were seen in all opossums.
