Activities with agricultural machines that generate large amounts of noise are common in agriculture. The objective of this study was to evaluate the noise levels at a stationary threshing in semi-mechanized harvesting sunflower rotation of the threshing cylinder 653 rpm. The experiment was conducted at the Federal University of Ceara, Campus do Pici, Fortaleza, CE. The measurements of noise levels were performed using a decibel meter and rotation of threshing cylinder of 653 rpm. For statistical analysis, a factorial 4 x 5, with four measuring positions relative to the rated together (front, back, left side and right side) and five clearance radii (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 m). Data were subjected to analysis of variance at 1% probability to mean comparison was conducted Tukey's test at 5% significance using the Assistat 7,6 beta software. The stationary threshing tractor-set showed noise levels above 85 (dB(A)), limit allowed by the NR-15 for a period of 8 hours of exposure. The clearance distance between 0-5 meters in any position (front, back, left and right) showed high levels of noise, and recommended the use of hearing protection.
