Abstract

The article examines the effect of a practice-based training program for the screening and management of postpartum depression. In this program, practices are randomized to usual care or intervention. Mothers enrolled in the intervention sites have received education and tools for such screening while those in usual-care practices have received presentation about the condition. It was found that the depression outcomes of those in primary care-based screening and management have improved.
