In this article the author discusses that in the article "Look to the Crisis Actors," published in the December 2018 issue of the "Theatre Journal," on Post-Fact Performance, she repurposes the term crisis actor to describe the twenty-first-century activist who knowingly engages in performative as a mode of political intervention. Topics include it is perhaps impossible to reconcile strategic, performative silence as an activist practice with the myriad ableist and privileged uses of silence.
