Abstract

Sleep is an essential and fundamental activity of living that is interconnected with other activities of living. This article discusses the importance of sleep and the negative impact of poor sleep on patients. The author also highlights the role of the healthcare assistant and assistant practitioner in assisting people to develop healthy sleep patterns, which is essential for mental and physical wellbeing.
