Abstract

The article provides information on a study which evaluates the functional relationship of two MYB related genes including AtMYB23 (MY23) and WEREWOLF (WER) in Arabidopsis that helps in determination of developmental end state of plant cells. It analyses functional relationship of MY23 and WER gene that are involved in leaf trichome formation. It suggests that specific gene have acquired specific function for trichome differentiation during evolution in Arabidopsis plants.
