Abstract

Objective: To construct the sexual health knowledge, attitude and practice scale for higher vocational students in China, and to verify its reliability and validity. Methods: Literature retrieval was used to form the item pool of the sexual health knowledge, attitude and practice scale for higher vocational students in China, and expert consultation was used to form the initial scale. The reliability and validity of the scale were tested with 8 007 students in a vocational medical college. Results: The final sexual health knowledge, attitude and practice scale for higher vocational students has 43 items. The KMO of three common factors extracted by factor analysis was 0. 935, and the loading coefficients of each item of the component matrix were 0. 535-0. 868 after rotation. Cronbach's a coefficients of the total table and each dimension of the scale were 0. 845-0. 914. The level of sexual health knowledge, attitude and practice of higher vocational students was 45. 58±15. 95, and the rate of sexual health knowledge, attitude and practice was 6. 08%. Conclusions: Sexual health knowledge, attitude and practice scale for higher vocational students in China has good reliability and validity, and can be used in the assessment of knowledge, attitude and practice of sexual health for higher vocational students, so as to provide a theoretical basis for carrying out sexual health education, improving their sexual health level and promoting their healthy development. The level of targeted health knowledge, attitude and practice is low. It is necessary to strengthen targeted health knowledge, attitude and practice education.
