- Abstract
Objective: To investigate the predictive value of the Chine.se version of the LAS VEGAS Risk Assessment Scale for postoperative pulmonary complications in critically ill patients. Methods: From January 2020 to December 2020, 495 critically ill patients who underwent surgical treatment in the department of intensive care unit of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital were selected as the research objects. The Chinese version of the LAS VEGAS Risk Assessment Scale was used to assess the risk of postoperative pulmonary complications in 495 critically ill patients after surgery; The influencing factors of postoperative pulmonary complications in critically ill patients were analyzed. The ROC curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of the Chinese version of LAS VEGAS Risk Assessment Scale for postoperative pulmonary complications in critically ill patients. Results: 101 of 495 severe patients had postoperative pulmonary complications, the occurrence rate was 20.4%. Age, department, ASA level, preoperative anemia, preoperative SpO2,type of surgical procedure, with cancer or not, operation time, type of anesthesia, intraoperative desoxysaturation, and intraoperative vasoactive drug requirement had significant effects on the score of Chinese version of LAS VEGAS Risk Assessment Scale (P<0.05). The AUC of the Chinese version of the LAS VEGAS Risk Assessment Scale for the prediction value of postoperative pulmonary complications was 0.625,the maximum Youden index was 20.4%, and the sensitivity was 73.3%, the specificity was 47.1%. Conclusion: The Chinese version of LAS VEGAS Risk Assessment Scale had a general predictive effect on the occurrence of postoperative pulmonary complications in critically ill patients in China, and its applicable population and types of diseases need to be further verified.
