- Abstract
Objective: To explore effect of preoperative trimodal prehabilitation on rehabilitation of elderly patients with colorectal cancer. Methods: 160 patients who underwent elective radical resection of colorectal cancer in department of gastrointestinal .surgery at our hospital were selected as study subjects from July 2020 to May 2021. Patients were divided into intervention group and control group by random number table method, with 80 cases in each group. The control group carried out routine nursing intervention, and intervention group carried out preoperative trimodal prehabilitation based on routine nursing of the control group. The exercise ability, complication rate 30 days after operation and rehabilitation index of two groups were compared. Results: The preoperative improvement rate of 6-minute walking test in the intervention group was 23. 75%, which was higher than that of the control group (6. 25% ). In the intervention group, the first postoperative exhaust time was 42. 0(27. 0, 51. 0)h, the defecation time was 74. 0( 52. 0, 100. 5)h, the catheter retention time was 3. 0 (2. 0, 5. 0) d, the drainage tube extraction time was 7. 0(6. 0, 8. 0) d, the first postoperative ambulatory time was 25. 05 (19. 17, 26. 95)h, the postoperative hospital time was 8. 0( 7. 0, 10. 0)d, which were shorter than the control group [the first postoperative exhaust time was 47. 7(36. 4, 67. 3)h,the defecation time was 129. 6(88. 2,161. 9)h,the catheter retention time was 4. 0(3. 0, 5. 5)d,the drainage tube extraction time was 7. 0(6. 0,9. 0)d,the first postoperative ambulatory time was 31. 75(22. 69,49. 52)h,the postoperative hospital time was 9.0(7.0, 12. 0) d], the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). Conclusions: Preoperative trimodal prehabilitation can improve preoperative exercise ability of elderly patients with colorectal cancer to a certain extent. It can also shorten recovery time of intestinal function, time of catheter removal and postoperative hospitalization days, and promote early postoperative ambulation of patients.
