Abstract

Presents the first-year experience program of the College of New Jersey in Trenton that has succeeded in integrating academic activities with a variety of cocurricular experiences, including a service-learning program. Resulting true partnership among faculty, staff and students; Students' enhancement of skills; Formulation of values and attitudes needed to assume the responsibilities of living in a complex society.
