Perspectives on Neuroscience and Behavior.

Abstract

The article presents comments on the results of several research related to neuroscience. On the result that childhood maltreatment contributes to the increase of inflammatory markers, it asserts the need to reduce childhood abuse. The research which demonstrated the importance of Neuropeptide Y (NPY) revealed that new methods are needed to improve NPY expression. It suggests a study to use neurokinin-1 receptor (NK-1R) antagonist in conducting control trials to treat illnesses.
