Abstract

The article presents information on the accuracy of noninvasive and continuous hemoglobin measurement by pulse co-oximetry during preoperative phlebotomy. Topics discussed include surgical repair of congenital heart disease (CHD), preoperative phlebotomy, and testing of total hemoglobin. Also discussed are pre- and postphlebotomy.
