Abstract

The authors reflect on the U.S. Congressional Public Health Caucus created during the 2015 National Public Health Week. Topics include how the nonprofit Commissioned Officers Association (COA) of the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) was founded, the involvement of Republican Congressman Doctor Rob Wittman and Democratic Representative Gene Green in creating a congressional public health caucus, and the creation of the 21st Century Cures Act.
