The article discusses addressing mental health through faith communities many of which are advocates for mental health best practices and for reducing the stigma, prejudice, and discrimination often associated with mental illness. The faith communities mentioned include Sunshine Connection, a peer-run mental health program in Topeka, Kansas which partnered with Faith Lutheran Church, the Institute of Muslim Mental Health, and Saul's Circle, based at Congregation Beth El-Keser in Israel in New Haven, Connecticut.
