Title: U.S. Public Health Service Recommendation for Fluoride Concentration in Drinking Water for the Prevention of Dental Caries.
Abstract: The article presents the updated recommendation from the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) with regards to community water fluoridation. Topics discussed include the fluoride concentration of 0.7mg/L to maintain caries prevention benefits and reduce the risk of dental fluorosis, community water fluoridation and fluoride toothpast as the most common sources of non-dietary fluoride in the U.S. and concerns that fluoride is a poison and an industrial waste product.
