Abstract: The article presents annotated citations that have been selected from the Education Resources Information Center database to provide background information and stimulate discussion on future teacher education practices in the U.S. The fourth revolution, concerning computers and learning, discusses the changes that computers may bring to the way people learn and corresponding changes in the role of teachers. The book "The Future of Teacher Education: Needed Research and Practice" contains seven papers presented at a conference on the future of teacher education.
