Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 3-year-old boy with autism and speech delay who developed severe ketoacidosis due to starvation. Topics discussed include the evaluation of metabolic acidosis in pediatric patients, the differential diagnosis of ketosis, and the management and resolution of starvation ketoacidosis with appropriate interventions.
