Abstract

The article looks at the customs of Indian society, relation between the individual and community, and the actions for gaining retribution against oppression. It talks about the creation of Hindu deities by rural communities, their worship, and the myths created for the deities. The caste discrimination in the country and the use of the literature to oppose marginalization are also discussed.
