Abstract

The article presents information on a case report of a sensitive way to demonstrate subtle optic ataxia. A 53-year-old right-handed man presented with a 3-year history of progressive memory decline. His neurological examinations were unremarkable except for cognitive deficits. He scored 18 on a Mini-Mental State Examination. A neuropsychological evaluation revealed impairments in multiple cognitive domains including memory, language, praxis, visuospatial and frontal executive functions. Visuomotor ataxia is the inability to coordinate movements based on visual but not on proprioceptive input
