Abstract

The article discusses a study about the characteristics of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production by flight muscle mitochondria of bumblebees (Bombus terrestris L.). Mitochondria of male bumblebees were isolated and content of mitochondrial protein was determined. Moreover, the results suggest that serious consequences caused by oxidative stress will occur if the percentage of ROS production increases.
