- Abstract
The article focuses on the role of alkylammonium gemine surfactants (AGSs) as an alternative agent for delivery of plasmid DNA into cells. It mentions that the structure of compounds was confirmed using elemental analysis and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). It notes that the binding of DNA to calixarenes and cationic surfactants leads to the substantial decrease in the fluorescence yield.
