Abstract

The article discusses the study on the synthesis of 1-Benzothiophen-2-amines from 4-(2-Bromophenyl)-1,2,3-thiadiazole with copper iodide catalysis. Topics discussed include the preparation of the compounds in the presence of potassium carbonate and a catalytic amount of copper(I) iodide, the intermediate formation of the potassium compound and the structure of benzothiophene compounds, and the measurement of the compounds melting point.
