The article discusses a study on the synthesis of Bis(6-chloro-2-oxo-2H-1,2y5-benzoxaphosphinin- 4-yl)arenes. The study has carried out the reactions of phosphorane I with aromatic diacetylenes in methylene chloride at room temperature, and the subsequent hydrolysis. It revealed that the nature of the aromatic bridging moiety connecting two 1,2-benzoxaphosphinine fragments did not affect the reaction rate.
