Abstract: The article presents a study exploring the synthesis of macrocyclic compounds containing uracil fragments, pyrimidinophanes, and a method for their covalent binding to obtain a multimacroring, multipyrimidinophane. It mentions the involvement of both sterically hindered cyanamides and those containing various heteroatoms in the reaction of dialkylcyanamides with trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride. It cites the use of trimerization of nitriles to s-triazine for multipyrimidinophane synthesis.
