Title: Magnetoresistance of Polycrystalline Ytterbium at Low Temperatures.

Abstract: The dependences of the electrical resistance on temperature (2–400 K) and magnetic field (0–140 kOe) of high-purity polycrystalline ytterbium were studied. Large magnetoresistance in the temperature range below 150 K (in low temperature hcp phase) was observed.
