Abstract

The use of Fe(III)-EDTA complexes as catalytically active components was shown to be a promising technique in the construction of contact gas purifiers for the removal of hydrogen sulfide from gas-air mixtures. Nonwoven fabrics obtained on the basis of Fiban ion-exchange fibers and an Fe(III)-EDTA complex have good barrier properties with respect to the hydrogen sulfide of the air. The possibility of strengthening the fabrics by combining them with reinforcing materials has been demonstrated.
