The article presents a case study of a 15-year-old, male adolescent fell on his outstretched left hand while playing basketball and developed a hyperextension deformity of the little finger. Topics include the local hospital emergency department, and X-ray revealed dislocation of the metacarpophalangeal (MP) joint of the left little finger, and the junior orthopedic surgeon performed a closed reduction by horizontal traction and hyperextension of the MP joint without anesthesia.
