III. TIME COURSES OF ILLNESSES AND TREATMENTS.
- Authors
Lockhart, Kristi L.; Keil, Frank C.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of timing in the development changes of reasoning about treatments for chronic and acute illnesses and the deviations from prescribed cures. It explores the children's developed understanding of time-course relations for causes and cures and the intuitions about different treatment patterns over time. It also examines how some medications need to be paced over time as opposed to being delivered all at once.
