GLO:BDC3/01dec22:jdi13895-toc-0001.jpg PHOTO (COLOR): . gl Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the major microvascular complications of diabetes and is represented by albuminuria and a decreased estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in people with diabetes. Itano I et al i . reported that high urinary glucose excretion in diabetic patients not using sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors has a favorable renal prognosis, especially in men and in long duration diabetes (>10 years)[9]. Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the major microvascular complications of diabetes and is leading cause of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and one of major risk factors of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
