Title

Role of sodium-glucose transporters in glucose uptake of the intestine and kidney.

Authors

Harada, Norio; Inagaki, Nobuya

Abstract

The authors discuss aspects of the role of facilitative glucose transporters (GLUTs) and sodium-dependent glucose transporters (SGLTs) in the consumption of the monosaccharide sugar in the intestine and kidney. They mention the transporters' delivery of the sugar through diffusion. They also note their cruciality in incretin secretion.
