Abstract: The article focuses on the use of spreadsheet formulation for teaching lot-sizing decisions. Spreadsheets tend to be more intuitive and easier to understand. User-friendly computer software make it possible for teachers to use spreadsheets. This method also allows students to readily understand the concept of the mixed-integer programming.
