This article presents information about a study which examines the conditions affecting growth and development of Monoblepharis. It is the least known order of the phycomycetes. The results of the study show that the fungus can grow well on several commercial preparations. It was not affected by the decrease in oxygen concentration until it was below 0.7 percent. The hyphae branched more frequently then normally at low oxygen concentration. Temperature optimum of agar culture was found to lie near 25 degree centigrade.
