Abstract

The article presents a study that examines repaglinide and gemfibrozil interactions with or without combination of itraconazole. The study assesses the metabolism, metabolites, and glucuronidation of repaglinide in human liver subcellular fractions, recombinant enzymes, and human hepatocytes. Result shows the ability of repaglinide to directly glucorinade for interaction of gemfibrozil. It adds that repaglinide inhibition halts when gemfribrozil was co-incubated with itraconazole.
