Authors

Parham, D.; Fitzpatrick, A. P.

Abstract

The article focuses on the recovery of a Pascual 1 Roma Amphora that originated from Catalonia off of St. Alban's Head in Dorset, England. It states the amphora was recovered by a fishing boat along with a considerable amount of modern rubbish the boat had picked up from the sea-bed. It mentions the inside of the vessel is coated with a black organic lining suspected to be the remains of resin or pitch which lined wine amphoras. It talks about marine growth on the amphora including barnacles.
