Abstract

The article talks about climate change ethics and governance in the middle of the development of newly industrialized countries including Brazil, South Africa, India and China, collectively known as BASIC countries. Topics include increase in global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, international negotiations on climate change, and Kyoto Protocol. Also discussed are topics such as importance of climate change mitigation, economic development in BASIC nations, and growth in energy consumption.
