- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the relationship between ischemic stroke and red blood cell distribution width (RDW). It explores how the study was conducted which involved 224 consecutive patients with ischemic stroke that were confirmed my magnetic resonance imaging. The results reportedly revealed that RDW is a significant predictor of stroke. The author comments that more studies must be conducted to examine RDW's potential mechanistic role in stroke occurrence.
