Title

Treating pyoderma gangrenosum during pregnancy and breastfeeding: a challenging management for a challenging disease.

Authors

Shavit, Eran

Abstract

The article discusses the challenges of treating pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) during pregnancy and breastfeeding. PG is a rare neutrophilic dermatosis that can be associated with systemic comorbidities. The management of PG during pregnancy involves systemic corticosteroids, with additional treatment options like cyclosporine and TNF inhibitors. While most cases have a good prognosis, the use of safer medications during pregnancy is crucial. Further research is needed to understand the complexities of PG in pregnant patients.
