This article explores the relationship between unstructured physical activities and glucose control in adults with type 1 diabetes. The study reveals that engaging in more active time, higher step count, and moderate-to-vigorous-intensity physical activity is linked to lower average glucose levels during waking hours. However, these activities also increase glucose variability and the risk of hypoglycemia until the following day. The findings suggest that even low-intensity unstructured physical activities can impact glucose control in individuals with type 1 diabetes.
